underwear drawing

One of Chen Rui's underwear has a drawing of a pair of ballet shoes on it. Chen Rui likes that drawing a lot. Today, Michelle spotted her copying the drawing onto a piece of paper. Chen Rui was wearing that particular underwear. She sat at her desk and had her skirt pulled up to her waist. She alternated between looking at her underwear and drawing on a piece of paper, with an intense focus. Sometimes she does crazy things.

A few days ago I scolded her for not finishing her homework by 4pm, and yet still wanting to watch TV. She was halfway watching a show and pleaded to let her finish it. I let her finish it, but said if she didn't finish her homework before Michelle got home, I would spank her. After she finished the show, she turned off the TV herself, and indeed managed to finish her homework very quickly. Afterwards she kept telling me: I'm fast am I not? She has the cheek to do that!

12 Feb 2012. Chen Rui often gives me trouble when I want to take photos of her.

Shee Yun's 8th tooth has been wiggly for a long time, and still hasn't come out. It's the 2nd tooth on her top right quadrant.

This is one of Shee Yun's birthday presents. Her birthday hasn't arrived yet, and she has already completed it.

Shee Yun has reverted to using milk bottles for drinking milk. That was short-lived, only a few days since she herself told me she wanted to switch to using a mug. She still likes to lie down and relax while drinking milk. So I can't switch to washing milk bottles once every two days. We have four bottles, and the children drink milk twice a day.

Shee Yun is always eager to help with housework. When I vacuum and mop the floor, I like to move most objects off the floor so that they don't get in the way - laundry baskets, rubbish bins, chairs, floor mats, bicycle, toys etc. Yesterday after I was done with the vacuuming and mopping, Shee Yun helped to move these objects (the ones in her room) back to their respective positions on the floor, without me asking and without asking for instructions. I feel she is keen to grow up and to take on more responsibilities.
