This morning Michelle tied Chen Rui's hair into a bun, which Chen Rui has never experienced before. It was practice for tomorrow's ballet mock exam, when the children will need to have their hair tied into buns. Chen Rui looked lovely with a hair bun, but she refused to have her photo taken. She said she was shy.
When Shee Yun saw how Michelle had tied up Chen Rui's hair into a bun, she commented that Michelle had done it like how I do it. What was that supposed to mean? That I do it very obviously much poorer than Michelle? Indeed I can't do it as well as Michelle, but at least now I don't get stressed out about it and the thing doesn't fall apart. My philosophy is just add more hair pins if the hair doesn't look neat enough yet. Shee Yun often ends up with her hair like a porcupine, so many pins. I think I use at least 50% more pins than Michelle.
I'm happy to hear Shee Yun apply new things she learns. This morning when Cikgu Rokiah came for BM tuition, Shee Yun came downstairs first, and when she called out to Chen Rui to ask her to come down quickly, she hailed "Adik!".
