photos - plants and frankincense

11 Dec 2011. During the year-end school holidays last year, Michelle bought some flower seeds and planned to make planting flowers a mini project for the children during the holidays. There were three types of flower seeds bought. This pot was Michelle's, on 11 Dec 2011. Just started sprouting.

This pot was Shee Yun's.

This pot was Chen Rui's. I'm not sure whether that tiny green leaf was the flower's leaf or weed.

15 Dec 2011. Only a few days afterwards, and this had grown a lot. This was Michelle's.

Shee Yun's, also some good progress.

Chen Rui's. Not much progress. I had planned to take photos of the growth of the flowers until they bloom, and then post them all at one go. Unfortunately the flowers never did bloom and never made much progress after this. I think they have all withered by now, or have been ousted by weed.

27 Dec 2011. The frankincense burning set at home.

Frankincense burning. By now we don't use it often. There is still about one third left of the packet that I bought, so it was well worth the money paid. It wasn't even expensive, altogether RM40 I think.

The yellow piece is the frankincense. It is a kind of tree sap. The round grey thing is a small piece of coal made specifically for burning frankincense.

4 Feb 2012. Watching TV at Bukit Tinggi before bedtime. They were watching a cooking competition show.

During the trip to Bukit Tinggi Chen Rui fell asleep quite early.

6 Feb 2012. Taken at the balcony of the serviced apartment where we stayed. Afterwards Shee Yun kept telling me she likes balconies and asked why we removed our balcony without asking her. We had extended our master bedroom to claim the original balcony area even before Shee Yun was born.
