The children recently discovered TVIQ , an Astro channel (610) for children about science. The shows are all related to science, sometimes showing interesting and fun experiments. It's good that they are watching something additional, especially when it has more educational value. It's time they grow out of the Playhouse Disney Channel, which I think is for younger children.
Chen Rui continued to draw when we were back in KK. I saw her draw a mermaid sitting on a rock, and I commented about it. She replied, yeah, because there is no chair. The mermaid was obviously a child, because she wore no bikini top and was completely flat-chested. Chen Rui did not forget to draw three dots - nipples and belly-button.
When Chen Rui colours her drawings with colour pencils, she sometimes mixes colours, i.e. colouring the same areas with two different colour pencils. I find that quite amazing. One thing that she is often lazy to do is to erase. When she doesn't like what she has drawn, if Michelle or I am nearby, she often asks one of us to erase for her. She says she can't erase cleanly, so she asks us to do it for her.
Chen Rui likes to have me carry her on my back. She finds it fun. Sometimes if I want her to go downstairs, or do something somewhere else, but she refuses or delays, I can entice her by offering to carry her on my back to go downstairs. Sometimes when she is upset, this trick also works in cheering her up.
