sharing

The children often share their things with their classmates. It's happening at kindergarten for Chen Rui, and it's also happening at primary school for Shee Yun. Their classmates borrow their pencils and colour pencils, and sometimes even share their food. I guess it's good that Shee Yun and Chen Rui and big-hearted and generous. But sometimes we wonder what the other children's parents have been doing not making sure their children are properly equipped for school.

Shee Yun's school bag is quite big and looks very bulky especially when she is the one handling it. She told us that at school two seniors ("两个姐姐") offerred to help her with it, but she declined. How kind of them. They called her "小妹妹". We told her next time she should remember to thank them.

17 Dec 2011. At Fraser's Hill. Chen Rui playing with the bubble toy after dinner time.

18 Dec 2011. Still playing with the bubble toy before we left Fraser's Hill. However after coming home, they seldom play with these toys. I guess there are too many other toys at home.

Chen Rui is starting to eat rice again, after Michelle told her that a monster may come to take Michelle away for not being a good mother to Chen Rui. Chen Rui just eats rice with tomato sauce, which is basically where she left off last time. She is also very particular about the bargain she had struck with Michelle. Only three scoops, she always insisted, and only child-sized scoops, not adult-sized scoops. Now the next step is to get her to eat normal dishes like vegetables and meat.

Shee Yun, like me, enjoys Michelle's cooking very much. She always praises how nice the food is, which makes Michelle happy. She cheers joyously when she sees soup. She loves fish with black sauce. She says broccoli is her favourite vegetable.

You'll be surprised how scatty some parents are....i certainly see plenty of them around here, you and Michelle are very conscientious parents. in fact some of the parents I meet during the course of my work are positively unfit to have children. I see all sorts, seriously depraved stuff sometimes, situations you won't even believe, ypu just feel sorry for the kid really. The more humans I meet the more I love my animals. I loved the fact that the two older girls offered to help your girls, I'd still like to believe that kind people wayyy wayyyy outnumber evil people.
