Shee Yun is 6

We organised a small birthday party for Shee Yun yesterday. We hadn't planned to do it, but Shee Yun kept telling Chee Ying and her mum about her upcoming birthday, and she was all excited about it, so we decided to do a small party.

6 Mar 2011. A jelly cake. This is the first time Michelle and I heard of such cakes, but apparently it's not new. Our friends have heard about it. We are the ones who are behind times.

Chen Rui enjoying her "pink" (喜板).

Shee Yun, Chee Ying, Ah Yan, Ah Yung. Shee Yun was distracted by the TV (I think the Pororo show was on), while the other children played happily.

They were playing with a puzzle toy which was a Christmas present. Neither Shee Yun nor Chen Rui played with this puzzle since the Christmas party a few months ago, and then suddenly everyone was fighting over it.

Too bad both Shee Yun and Chen Rui didn't like the jelly cake either. I think they just generally don't like to eat birthday cakes. No cheesecake, no jelly cake, no ice-cream cake, no normal cake. I'm out of ideas what kind of cake to get them for the next birthday celebration.

Family photo.

All the guests, except for Yong Yong who doesn't like being in photos and was taking this photo for us.

Children playing.

Shee Yun built what she called a Toy Tower, and also made the word "TOY".

Ah Yan. Similar to Chen Rui, she is also the naughtier one in the family.
