I have been collecting Hard Rock Cafe guitar pins since 1997. I am not a very active collector. If I happen to visit a city which has a Hard Rock Cafe, I will try to visit it and buy some guitar pins. Sometimes friends help me buy these when they travel. As of April 2010, I have 81 pins. I have thought about buying a nice display case for them, but never got around to it. For quite some time I have been keeping them in a plastic ice-cream box. Finally I decided to do them some justice by displaying them on the internet. Hence this post. I thank the many friends who have contributed to this collection.
18 Apr 2010. I spread them out on the floor, roughly according to geographical locations, when preparing to take this series of photos.

Asia
I grouped Australia with Asia.
That's James Cook on the left. I have two Millennium 2001 pins (right), the other one from Seoul, which has a golden lining instead.
I have two copies of the white guitar, the other one further below from Singapore.
Added 18 Dec 2010. Hard Rock Cafe Penang and Hard Rock Hotel Penang.
The Bangkok pin is the only one I have two exact copies of, because two different friends bought them for me.
Adrian bought this in Bangkok. It has a moveable tuk-tuk (auto-rickshaw).
See how the tuk-tuk can move.
Adrian bought this in Bangkok from a collector. This is a pin from Seoul.
I quite like these ones from Philippines.
The ones from Japan are quite good. I bought quite many of them.
The carp is a tattoo.
The geisha face is a tattoo.
Africa
I like this unique traditional instrument from Egypt, but I don't know what it's called.
Europe
I actually have 4 pins of this same design, the fourth one is from Niagara Falls.
Traditional-looking guitar.
I like both the Amsterdam tulip guitar and the Madrid city guitar a lot.
I like the one on the left a lot. It's a smaller guitar, and is part of the mini guitar series.
From Munich, Germany, and Prague, Czech Republic. In Prague there is this famous bridge with many statues, and the guitar pin in the centre shows one of these statues holding a guitar.
Left: Lisbon, Portugal. This is a statue of great explorers and navigators and other contributors of the Age of Exploration. Right: London, United Kingdom. This phone booth has a door that can be opened.
There's a phone inside, of course.
North America
The Ottawa guitar is from the mini guitar series too, and I like it a lot too.
The San Francisco guitar features their Chinatown.
I like these three.
The Montreal guitar is for a comedy festival.
I bought the Chicago guitar myself, and if I'm not mistaken, this was the first guitar I collected. I hadn't even planned to collect these when I bought it.
Another one that I like a lot.
The Miami guitar is from the mini guitar series. Another one that I like a lot. I find all the mini guitars well designed and unique.
